I am not sure how your system works since it is for visually impaired persons, but if you go to "decks" and do a search for braille, a lovely deck called "Braille Spanish Tarot" comes up that has raised lettering in English as well as Spanish. It is available from salas@santeriamilagrosa.com

p.s. I would be very interested to learn how you navigate a computer system! I am a third grade teacher, and I am sure the question is destined to come up...

Ruthie Hi :D

I was also looking for a Braille Deck, and put up a thread in the Tarot Trading section.

The thread is here:

There is a Braille Rider Waite Deck in English, Spanish and French, I think - so it would depend on what language you are looking for.

I think you would need a book with the deck as the Braille on each deck basically only holds the title of the card ...

mythos replied to the thread with the ISBN and details, and others such as catlin, similia, Northwind helped source some information ... I hope this helps :)

Here we go: Braille Rider Waite Tarot Deck $89.95
ISBN: 1572813687 AUTHOR: Arthur Waite

Here are some websites that sell the deck as well:

Let us know how your search goes... Im sure theres plenty of people here who can help :)

Blessings

Hi Ruthie,
You might want to get in touch with your state department for the blind. Most states will work very hard to get you whatever you need, or want, transcribed into braille. They probably have the resources to braille any deck you want. They would also be able to get in touch with other states for an interlibrary loan if they don't already have a tarot book in braille in their libraby. If you have some residual sight and can use computer programs like ZoomText, then you can go to www.learntarot.com for a great course in beginning tarot. Just use ZoomText to enlarge the text to whatever size you need or to adjust the color scheme and brightness to fit your visual needs. There are also many computer programs that will read the computer screen to you. I work at a community college and we use a program called JAWS for our students who are totally blind. Both JAWS and ZoomText have many, many wonderful features. Adaptive software is making the world available to everyone!
