AYUP!!! And notice how the pup is acting....patiently waiting for the Fool to start the Grand Adventure :D

**drags in a lawn chair and starts the Jiffy Pop***

Thanks I have always seeing opening doors as a New Adventure..
"as one door closes another opens"
Here she is in Color..
I think i have a little touching up here and there,
I have done it in Acrylics and Ink.. Pencil wasnt sticking to the card.
I have used gold for her earring, Door knob and sewn through her head scarf.
Golden door handle represents the Golden opportunity awaiting her.
Gold doesnt show up in the scans too well.

But i will start on drawing the next one now.
and go back when i feel its right for the touch ups on the Fool..

Ok I think i have finished the Fool
and Have started on the Magician.

I am going to do both Magician and High Priestess at the same time..
Trying to keep to tradition of the Fools Journey..
"On Setting out the Fool immediately encounters the Magician and the High Priestess, the Balancing forces that make up the perceived world."

So I have sketched the Magician and now onto the High Priestess.

Then i will paint them both..

But heres a scan of both the finished Fool ( I think) and a Sketch of the Magician.

Ignore the number 108 up the top of Magician.. that just a reminder to me to place 108 beads in the Buddhists prayer beads that are the shape of the Eternity symbol, above the Magicians head.

Little Hare

niice!

What cardstock are you using? I love the rounded edges

Dancing Bear

Thanks Little Hare..
I dont know what card stock i am using!! LOL!!
I bought the blank deck from Book Depository UK.. It came with backs already on them and 81 cards.. Its not a thick card, nor is it too thin. Its not too bad actually..The cards were a bit too long for my hands so i trimmed them and then I used a Fiskars corner cutter .. about $16 from Spotlight.
I really like the larger rounded corners myself.. I used the trimmer for a few otehr decks i have trimmed.
and the deck was only $8 aussie dollars postage free..

With so much horrid stuff going on in my life, that is making me look at myself and spirituality , hugely testing my faith..
I thought what better time to create my own Tarot Deck.. Following the Fools journey. Reconnecting and revisiting the Tarot and its meanings applying them on a deeper personal level..

This deck has no theme.. Just how i see Tarot and use images from my inner self and witht he help of a spirit guide i have, to create the deck. The Magician is actually my Guide in his younger years :D
I am not the best drawer, But i do love to paint. and create.

I am glad some people like it , because , I like it!! LOL!
I am looking forwards to using them..

Here is a sketch of my lovely little high priestess..
I really like her..she seems to embody a lot of how i see the High Priestess.
The Crow in Native American indian Represents to Law of the Spirit world.. the akashic records she holds instead of the tora i can relate to better, but means the same.
Her pentagram around her neck instead of the cross also is significant for me.
and being a child of the stars i thought she would suit better to be under a starry night..and where else better but Stonehenge..
