General spread

Hi
I have been asked to do a couple of general readings and I do not have any idea about what kind of spread can I use.
I was looking for some kind of spread which will give information for the following six months or so, I could draw 2 cards for:
Love
Family
Friends
Work
BUt I don't know if I am missing something.
Any suggestions?

This comes pretty close to a horseshoe spread I do that I call "How You Doin'?" The positions I use are:

Body
Mind
Spirit
Friends
Family
Relationship
Career
Finances
Blessings

You can add positions to suit the querent's situation, for example for myself I always add two extra cards after the "Relationship" card, one for each of my dogs.

I think for a general spread, customising it and making it exactly how you want works best.
