Reading during Mercury Retrograde

As another MR is upon us for the majority of October, I've been thinking a lot about how to gear some of my readings to take advantage of this good period for reflection, rather than focus on the communication breakdowns and translation problems that often occur. I have a natal mercury retrograde in my chart so these tend to be intensely intuitive times for me. What kind of spreads do you think would take advantage of this? I've hit a little bit of a wall lately, and I'm curious how others may react to trickier alignments!

I find that much though I might want it to in my personal cosmology, astrological energies and even more major, immediate energies like sunspots or the phases of the Moon don't seem to make a real, practical, noticeable difference to readings. to people's moods (and therefore their actions and lives) perhaps, but not to how well readings flow or how helpful they are-or-are-not.
