The Chymical Wedding by Lindsay Clarke

Lleminawc

Barely qualifies as a Tarot novel as there are only two readings throughout the novel and only two cards mentioned by name - the Tower and the Queen of Swords - but a powerful read nonetheless, clearly based on thorough research into alchemy and the hermetic philosophy. Like Kate Mosse's Sepulchre the action alternates between the present day and the 19th century, but Clarke was there first (1989).
