Thierens - General Book of the Tarot - question

[hope this is the right forum for this]

I've been studying tarot for 7 years. I have read the Book of Thoth several times and refer to it often. This year I became acquainted with the General Book of the Tarot by Thierens. It is radically different! I find that the readings really resonate with me. I plan to read the whole book.

I wanted to ask for some background or feedback about the Thierens book. I did a quick search on the forum and read old posts.

How is Thierens regarded? What "school" of interpretation could his be described as? Is he controversial? Any info you could share would be appreciated!
