THE PATH OF NON RESISTANCE....EXPERIENCES GAINED.

re-pete-a

Typical of me and my bull headedness...I decided to go down a certain path of non resistance.

I called it "LETTING GO".
I had no idea of the contents of this Pandora's box.

It is very very difficult to apply...many many obstacles were and are still placed on that path to entice reactive results and typical revenges...in other words my automatic reactive results were as best as could be noticed, repressed....

This led to many false accusations becoming invented to try to provoke the usual reactions...

Remembering that all journey's are a personal affair and as different as there are personalities....

Has anyone tried this sort of path ...I mean as in doing it ,not thinking or fantasizing it...but lived /living it.

What are the results of this type of journey...?

For me it helped in separating the 3 inner worlds ....and having done this (it's not finished yet) has heightened the intuitive process...

To me it was getting fully into the FOOLS journey...It clarified oh so many understandings about FAITH...

For me ,Faith is risk....

OOPS...

I just remembered that i'm going away for a while...perhaps a month....but please help yourself to this topic...I'll pop back in with answers or questions off and on...

There doesn't seem to be much traffic in this section so I just may be OK with a pop in appearance....

Such an interesting thread. The path of non resistance. I love the idea. Although I was not calling it this way, I realise that this is what I am doing with my son. After too many fights about how I want him to behave, how I want things to go in the house, etc, etc. I decided to let go. There is a French expression about it (hard to translate) where we say that as a dog, we are sometimes holding to our bone too much.

Are you reading books about this subject, that you could suggest?

re-pete-a

No , no books are being read about it...though I feel that I could fill a book easily....

The closest thing to pinpointing it would be to study the FOOLS journey ...the experiential path...or learning as you go ...

You will understand what I mean when your son really tests your limits...In your situation your dominating egoic mind will demand things from him...and his ego will resist you.

if you become a watcher of mind instead of a slave to it, you may eventually dig up that portion of you that is ruling you...for want of a better word I call it the Ego...It will always be right...even if it's wrong ,it will be the right wrong.....It's that portion that says that you should have done something...or you shouldnt have...it collects information , it judges you, it observes you...it's the dream watcher, the protector, the war monger.

This has been my experience with it...it may not be yours...Though I can easily recognise it's traits in others... because i'm sensitive to it, I can often feel it as a cold wall or barrier that instantly turns the person really cold and dead to it's own warm feeling self.

Many years ago I was searching for a solution to world peace...I found that human nature has this tendency to war at the drop of a hat...so I followed that idea and found that trait...it exists in me ,you ,and every human...ants...wasps and bees...everything...It's natural..

until it's over ridden... by a determined diligent mind.

I've read this in a book once & considered trying it myself. Especially where my family is concerned. But, it certainly isn't easy to do! Re-pete-a, I admire you for doing this& wish you good luck in this. As for the book, I think it was a book that spoke about Ghandhi, though I'm not sure if it was solely about him or not.

this last paragraph is very poignant. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all live in this way & accept each other everywhere fully? However, it will never come to be.

Great thought provoking subject, re-pete-a!

I've been on a non resistance path for most of my life. "It Is What It Is" is my motto.
For those of you interested in giving it a go, I remember listening to an audio from Abraham Hicks about letting go. It explained it really nicely.
Basically, he talks about life being a journey down the stream. Everything you want is down the stream.
People usually think and feel like they have to work hard at things to get any sort of results, which makes them go up stream. Up stream is difficult. You are going against the natural current!
And if you can't stop yourself from going upstream, let go of the oars! The current will take you back down !

At this point in time with the world in a crisis of extremism...I find it would work...it doesn't mean it is easy by any means...but that's the key...a wider viewpoint other than a personal one.

That sounds great and could work in your world....I haven't read that book.

In my world only the fiesty and healthy fish swim upstream...it is more difficult and harder than flowing down stream...to me down stream or with the current is the norm of what is happening to the individual mindset...It's the path of least resistance.

This path ,in my experience, is the easiest way to manipulate the masses. it creates the mob mentality...

But hey, I'm not you and it may be just the thing for your journey...

I prefer SELF MANAGEMENT.

To understand that I had to understand that the only control one has on anything is one's own minds processes....and these are smothered in self created belief systems...

or

anything placed in your path is there for your learning or understanding...It was placed there by a higher source...what you do or don't do is yours to handle...free choice...That's the only free choice available in this life.

If these choices are left undone...will recycle back ...same lesson different actors...as in repeating love/partner troubles...These are the hidden lessons everybody encounters to shake loose of controls by the ego.

We need an ego but not as the ruler of our inner world.

For me I've found that this is the barring resistance to higher intuitions...it hits this barrier and is drowned out....

There's an old saying I've heard but don't know it's origins...

It goes...
"Your intellectual mind will /can get you to the gates of heaven. But only your heart can get you through the door."
Or..
Dogma is the start of a journey...Logos is the written word map .... but it can block the Rema(hearing the words) if blindly followed.

Life's lessons are provided by external circumstances and usually others...but is not limited to people...an A-HA moment can be triggered by anything...even the wind or a vacant sky. As long as one is open minded at the time and not making too much head noises that rob these open moments ...

You seem To be on a great roll pete and good for you, we need to find what works for us to lead the life we want/desire
I like peace and comfort, as most people I thnk, Im still working on it and the more I do realise there is a load of stuff to ditch

The reducing of attack, revenge, tit for tat, etcc etc. Is A good recipe...to a point

I dont agree with you about the anythng placed in your path as a learning tool, not all thngs are for YOU just cos you passed by, if that were the case you would have no time for anything lol ehilst wondering thag wiman had funny eyes it must mean i must meditate on it
