I asked my Chronicle of Destiny cards "What's coming up for me in the next few months?"

I used Story Spread

Treasure - This is the theme card and symbolises either a person or thing that is treasured by me. At the moment there is no such person, but I feel like in the Theme position this is saying that perhaps this story is about someone I treasure at some point in time.

Time Flies, The Call, Kissed

Time flies is a timeline card, it usually means that a period of time is going past quickly, or events are about to happen in a quick space of time. With The Call following, this is about a proposal coming. So I would say that this would be a proposal about romance, as Kissed is always a card that is related to romantic love, romance and falling in love.

So would this indicate that I will soon get a romantic proposal from someone I treasure or soon meeting someone I treasure who I will be getting an invitation or proposal from of a romantic nature...

Any experience with these cards and whether I'm on the right track with the interpretation?

Thanks :)

Amanda

I /know/ the Kissed card is /supposed/ to be about "romance" as per the author's 'rules' -- but I think that's not what it's entirely about here. It is also about depths of emotion, passion and desire; Time Flies and The Call have very "urgent" energies about them. Additionally, the Treasure card is primarily about money/valuables.

More broadly speaking (that is, without a strict focus on money/valuables) the Treasure card could be suggesting that the theme for the next few months is going to be on distinguishing your sense of gratitude and what you truly value in your life. It is perhaps a reconciling of your life's bank balance so to speak, figuring up what all you've got and feeling good and productive with what you have; clearly seeing where you are blessed and "cushioned" and feeling at peace with that.

Time Flies is time slipping away, while The Call is an urgency to act. With consideration of Treasure with regard to Time Flies, the question becomes, "How valuable is your time?" Is a lot of your focus going to be on working/making money over the next few months? Might that actually be an already good or "cushioned" area of your life that you could/should be finding more peace/comfort with just as it is and how you've handled it so far? If you feel you do not have peace/comfort with working/making money, is the (perhaps unnecessary) time you are investing into that area of your life taking away from another? Are you forgetting to stop and smell the roses so to speak, and partaking in the less serious aspects of life that do not require time limits? You may need to ask yourself over the course of the next few months just how valuable your time is, and perhaps more importantly, how you are measuring the value of your time. Is it the money you're making or the humor you're taking out of life? The Clock Keeper demonstrates this notion... she warns you not to 'watch the clock' as she is now trapped in doing; it made her crazy, it seems. Time Flies comes at the beginning of the trio and suggests that you can alternatively direct the course of events here, whereas if the card were at the end of the line, it would suggest the cards preceding it were more certainly already in motion to happen. It is not too late for you to get the most value out of your time, and the focus is going to be on putting more depth (rather than breadth) of value into it (that is, quality over quantity, as a form of measurement). The saying going around social media is that it's not the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away. Literally, you might be making an 'escape' from people/situations that do not add deeper value and meaning to your time.

The Call is an urgency to act, and with regard to Treasure again, it may be you feeling the urgency to make more money. You could get a monetary offer in the next few months, which is probably a good thing in that respect, but if what you really want is romance/relationship, this probably isn't the most exciting news/proposal you could get here. It's just more of the same, more of the way in which you may have already been passing your time, as you more passively wait for what you truly desire (Kissed). That is to say, if you want to be "Kissed" -- go kiss someone. Smell the roses. Do things that don't require time limits. Measure your time/values differently. Listen to the call of your deeper desires; don't avoid them/pass time with what you're already "cushioned" with. The Kissed card is saying to more deeply value having fun, lightening up, and romantically engaging with life to draw romance to you. These cards are coming across as advice/possibilities because Time Flies came first to show how you can direct things here to get what you really want.

Just my take, hope it's helpful to you!

Hey Amanda, Happy New Year :) It's true the card is about the depths of emotions, passion and desire. I haven't tended to stray from the LWB meaning of these cards because I've found them to be pretty straight forward and to the point (usually). I also assumed this might be romantic, as in my New Years spread the Month of January had HERO as lead with SHOOTING STAR...However, yes, both Time Flies and The Call have a degree of urgency - and this might have to do with the fact that I've now got 4 weeks to pack up my house and move to Scotland! There is a lot to do in a little time.

This could very well be much more literal if we agree that the Kissed card is not referring to romance as the LWB suggests. This could literally be about the call to action to get rid of things I no longer need and assess with care what I want to take with me and what I want to put in storage / sell off before I leave.

Given the literal nature of the cards, and how forthright they have been, I am tending now to refocus the reading and think it might really be about the move. The message then is straight forward if KISSED is not taken in the romantic sense, but in the passionate, emotional depths sense. In that way, this is about assessing what TREASURE I love and deeply feel about, and what I don't, and taking the action to either pack it or get rid of it.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to this. Your input helped me review what was there and see that it was - as it always is with these cards - a very literal interpretation of what is coming up for me!
