Early Work on the Sabian Symbols

I did a straight copy paste from - http://healing.about.com/od/sabiansymbols/
Origianl "mimeographs" version

The site also says this ~ quote from the sub-chapter
Early Work on the Sabian Symbols:
"He [Marc Edmund Jones] later became disenchanted with this [the mimeographs] version, however, as he felt he had done precisely what hesought to avoid -- moralize the symbols in terms of the "white-Anglo-Saxon culture of [his] upbringing. And he became so disenchanted with that version that he asked his students not to use it."

I FEEL for Marc Edmund Jones, we are human - we DO what we are to DO, and there is enough of everything to 'fill the 360' degrees - negative positive all views, thats what makes the symbols amazing.. exploration is a valuable thing..

I thought Id post these here, I dont think they have been posted in this the origianl "mimeographs" version here yet...

I ponder on my own symbols, my actual SUN is Virgo 23 - My South Node is Virgo 22 VERY potent area in the wheel for me..

Vir 22 Upon rich velvet in a case, at an exhibition, is an exquisitely wrought miniature; a jewel-set royal coat-of-arms - this lifts my spirits.. lovely just lovely

Vir 23 A man clad in gay colors of the circus rushes into the barred arena where unwilling animals await his bidding - the words unwilling animals shakes me, I will remember to be kind... I Do prefer the line "a lion tamer rushes fearlessly into the circus arena' ;)

Vir 24 A large book for children is open at a colored page; here Mary with her yellow curls leads an immaculate white lamb - Mary - immaculate - animals again...

I can re-read these t3 over and over and over.. and still FEEL so much... so many opportunities to 'know' myself here...

I feel all expressions of the symbols work.

Marina's Proof of Royalty

Hi Marina

Those ARE lovely Symbols, and have you checked out the Sagittarius, Pisces and Gemini Symbols at those same degrees? These degrees will show you what challenges, opportunities and talents are presented to your Sun everytime there is a transit from a planet square or opposite your Sun. It can be very illuminating!

Of course, you're having a Pluto transit to your Sun from those Sagittarian degrees... interesting times; you're being presented with the opportunity of finding your own personal power yet again, but this is a very strong transit, one of the strongest you'll have in your lifetime!! (by that I mean that Pluto transits are the most powerful - in my belief - and to the Sun is the most intensely personal, as well).

Hope this makes sense!!

Greetings from Avalon

Wow Marina - the Symbols are so visual and inspiring in this manner also. I love the way with each transition of the Symbols (the way they are written - the wording and the interpretation) offers new insight to interpretations.

My Sun in Capricorn:
Cap 01 An Indian chief is standing before the assembled pow-wow of tribes and demands recognition, coldly and regally.
Cap 02 Three stained glass windows in an old cathedral are seen, and the center one has been damaged by bombardment.
Cap 03 The human soul is visualized as hovering spirit eager and receptive to the lessons to be learned from life.

I wasnt sure how to find my South Node - I looked up Astrodienst, but didnt see it.

Thankyou for the link and the Symbols Marina!!

Yours are filled with power and spirit!

If you PM me your birth details I can look it up for you if you like..
I have solar fire astrology software - its simple..

Yea I do like this view, even though Dr Jones was not happy, I feel that too - obviously with my sun symbol anyway.. but really its another aspect, making the symbols 'fuller' more colourful.. even if it is in some limiting way..
