Learning to mindful manifest
Aim
The aim of this exercise is to work on how to manifest successfully, and to be mindful when we are manifesting. Manifesting seems to have many different names, for instance Law of Attraction, but ultimately it’s the same thing, creation. We have the power to create our own luck/abundance, we can bring into our lives what we wish for.
Now manifestation is something that sounds very simple, but isn’t. Manifesting requires you to have complete faith/trust that what you have asked for will be given to you, this is easier then it sounds, many of us will sabotage ourselves without knowing it. If you ask for something, and deep down you don’t really believe you deserve it, you wont get it.
We manifest from every thought, word, action we do/say/think. We create from both positive and negatives, we manifest all day and even at night when we are asleep, we are a regular manifesting machines! This is a hard exercise, it requires you to acknowledge both positive and negative manifestations, it also will highlight what is holding you back from gaining what you wish for.
I have called this exercise mindful manifesting, because often I feel people don’t really don’t pay enough attention to how and why they are trying to manifest something.
Here are a few examples, that I have been witness to:
- A person was asking for abundance, he received a fruit basket and was annoyed with the universe. He got a fruit basket because he didn’t specify what he meant by abundance, he meant money but didn’t ask for it specifically. Lesson- ask for what you actually want.
-If you want a new car, perhaps ask for the means to get one rather then a car….how would you deal with a car being on your doorstep one morning, keys in ignition? Most would thinks its stolen, or fearful of why its there.
-If you ask for something like a car parking space or a free seat on the tube, always be mindful that someone else might be more needing of that space/seat, try to think about that when manifesting it (I always add at the end ‘ if someone else does not have a greater need than me’ ).
- if you want a holiday, be careful how you ask for it, asking the universe for a break might result in a broken limb…you get a break, and a forced holiday but not the type of one you wanted.
-if you ask for excitement, be prepared for it, my friend got two black eyes, it wasn’t the type of excitement she wanted.
-If you hate your job and want out, think about how you ask for it, because being fired/redundant is being out, but likely not what you wanted.
Exercise
1-Take some time out to think about what you want to manifest, I would suggest you start small, because its easier, and its not as simple as it looks…if you make a mistake manifesting it can be more easily rectified.
2-Ask yourself why your manifesting this
3-write down what you want to manifest, in as much or as little detail as you wish. You might find you need to write this a number of times until it feels right, and your guide likely will pop in to nudge you in the right direction.
4-When do you want it for? Put a time line on when you are asking this for, I would suggest 1 or 2 weeks for this exercise.
5-sit down and try and visualise what your trying to manifest (5-10 mins minimum)
6-say thank you to god/universe/Buddha/spirit/source/creator etc
7-try and sit daily for 5 mins and think about what your trying to manifest
Make a note of anything that you find popping up during the exercise, any feelings, any sensations, any words.
Notes:
This is a good time to get the cards out, you can look at cards for what your should be trying to manifest, and what might be blocking you.
Try not to use ‘I want….’ Since you already know that you will get what your asking for, always state the request as if you already have it, and thank them. Try and style your manifest more in the style of ‘I have that Reiki course, thank you’
Asking for money is okay, however if you think money is the root of all evil, or if you don’t believe you deserve it, are you going to get it?
Listen to the little voice that doubts, this voice is likely to say ‘really, you don’t think you will get x do you, don’t be silly, why would you get something for free?’ because this is bring up something that is blocking you.
Try and think about what else you manifest with your thoughts/words/actions daily, if you send out something negative, try and follow it up with something positive (you cant recall something, you can only try and neutralise it), also look at why you said/thought/did that.
