I think this month's thread is influenced by a lot of things that have happened to me in the last few weeks. Gratefulness, not taking things for granted, and becoming aware of all the wonderful gifts and blessings in each moment of each day have all come to play in my life, in such a big way.

This month, the suggested spread is about the gifts or blessings you have received this year... Whether this year has not been easy or has been your best, there is always a gift or blessing from each experience, good or bad.

The main gift that you've received this year is that of creative inspiration. This is the fuel that has led to the other two gifts - that of ease, and of energy. You've been given the ability to engage with grace, such that your activities appear as simplicity to others (even if you don't experience them as such!)

Your challenge is that you're coming out of a time of fairly severe creativity-blocks, and that this new inspiration doesn't appear as you'd expected it to. Not only has it caught you somewhat off guard, but you don't seem able to recognize what's happening. You're not used to seeing your creativity and focus blossom in this way.

For example, is it possible that while your creativity was blocked that you went out and learned a fair few things that are now informing the way that you generate ideas? So for instance, perhaps before these blocks you were used to your ideas flowing, but were unsure which format they'd be best suited for. So the ideas were far too broad to be practical. Now, however, they're very narrowly focused; perhaps so much so that you're not recognizing them for the push that they are, because you'd imagined a push would be so much wider in scope?

Please know that you have the skills that you need to realize your plans. You have the wind at your back and it's filling your sails. You have support around you, and you have the inspiration within you. Your challenge is to listen, and to work towards fulfilling your ideas and dreams.

1- Sad Embrace/45
This card shows a seated figure, hunched with its arms around its knees, against an evening backdrop with a moon overhead.
Kind of a curious card to denote blessings for you this year, and what I wonder about is what comforts you may have received this year, at a time when you felt you were struggling? This card here may be validating sources of comfort or unexpected support you received this year, maybe when you needed it most.
This feels almost like a guardian angel who has whispered words of support.
Have you had late nights mulling over regrets, or second guessing something you’ve been brooding over? Somehow you’ve felt inspirations and found resolutions. As a result, you may have experienced a deepening spirituality this year, and this has been a blessing.


2- Come Together/8
Has there’s been a partnership developing that has felt like a blessing for you this year? It looks like there is a natural understanding between you and another - in this card there are hearts and even a stork. Is there a new baby around you, or someone's new baby that has brought a spark into your life? Or perhaps this signifies the birth of a new idea or new project. Whatever form it has taken, it has felt like a blessing, to feel this burst of new energy and harmony.


3- Storm Fields/9
There are storm clouds gathered over a house in this card, with a path leading out and away from the storm. This may indicate that you had a blessing in disguise this year. Out of what seemed to be a stormy event, with perhaps great difficulty, you may have been forced to take the new path. Out of necessity you may have been forced to leave the comfort and security of what was known and venture out to the unknown.

There are flowers on the path that may indicate that there were unexpected and positive surprises that awaited you. These were the rewards and results from your efforts, and there may be more still that await you.

You may have felt like it was a strain, but at some point you may look back and it will all make sense. Seeing the beauty and the rewards from this great effort that you’ve made, you’ll see the gift that it was to have been pushed out of your comfort zone.

Intuitive:
Perhaps this has been a tough year, filled with some struggle you've had to work out. Flow with it, without judgement. You didn’t do anything wrong. There's no need to be harsh with yourself about it. The Universe holds many mysteries, and sometimes the things that we work the hardest for are the things we end up valuing the most.

This is lovely to read, and a really nice validation to receive.
I've been blessed with inspiration and support to use my creativity, in a way that flows and is truly satisfying. It's true that to others what I do seems easy - until they try to do it themselves! -and then I'm reminded of these gifts...

I am coming out of this weird period where I was suspended and felt stuck. Some of it was judgements that I internalized from others, and some of it was sheer existentialist crap. And then I received one push after another through work opportunities and friends that finally snapped me out of the holding pattern I've been in. So yes, this has been a great blessing this year - most welcome!

You're spot-on. Things have been very difficult, and it's caused me to become more spiritual as a result. And, yes, sometimes that means whispers in the middle of the night. The difficulties have made me who I am... but that doesn't mean that anyone should ever have to go through what I've gone through.

Hm, there are no babies here that I know of. My partner and I have a shared understanding, however, and have made some changes that have helped us both to be happier. So that's good.

The blessing in disguise is the first card - this card is referring back to the sad embrace because, as I said there, it's made me who I am. Even though that's been exceedingly difficult at times, too.

Hm. I wonder if this card is saying that I need to have a talisman to remember by? I got a really nice glass pendant from my mum the other day and thus far I've been incapable of taking it off. So maybe that's it.

This year has definitely been a tough year, and school's not been helping. It's true that it's not my fault, nor did I do anything to deserve this, really. I'm trying to deepen my understanding of the Universe, because I don't have a spirituality to fall back on. And yet I need one because it seems like the tool that I need to dig myself out of this hole.
