Something pushed my hand away ... !

tarotbear

Has anyone else ever had something like this happen to them?

This was a few years ago, but a small group of us went to combination psychic fair/ vendor marketplace with a lot of tables and readers and such like. My friend Kate and I were separately viewing a table of tchotchkes and I put my hand out to turn something over or pick something up - and 'something' distinctly pushed my hand away! I thought about this, and tried again - to see if i was mistaken, and also to see if the object was pushing me away, or if 'someone' was pushing me away ... I chose the latter. I called Kate over and said: 'Nonchalantly put your hand over here and see if you feel anything.' She felt the same 'push.' "Do you think it's something on this table or someone trying to get me to leave?" {As in - 'Get away from the table you stupid man!'} She felt 'someone' wanted me to 'get away' from the table. So, since we both suspected the same thing - we both set about touching everything on the table and not letting whoever it was 'scare' us off! LOL!!!!

I think as we left the table we both made a 'banishing pentagram' in the direction we felt the source of energy came from, but that may be my memory embellishing the situation.

I have felt this with objects on occasion, but most commonly- it's with people. Sometimes upon meeting a new person, if I attempt to shake their hand my hand feels as though it is being pushed away or repelled. Sometimes I don't get that far, the pushing feeling starts as I'm approaching them. It's a great warning signal- never steers me wrong :)

I'm curious- did any of the other items on the table do the same thing to you?

Yes, I have felt this too. Once I was lazing in bed and had to go out for some important errand, but due to my laziness, I decided to postpone the errand and lie in bed. And all of a sudden I felt a hand hit me hard on my shoulder. Now I live alone and there was absolutely no one around, so yeah I took it as a sign to get dressed and get that errand out of the way. And later that night, I realised that it was the perfect timing for that errand to happen as something good came out of it. :D

So yeah, our guides help us physically sometimes, when they can't reach us through our intuition and when the message needs to be delivered quick. It's scary to be hit like that. I freaked out that morning and ran out of the house as soon as I could.

This wasn't a feeling like my spirit guide telling me 'You don't need that! Don't spend the money!' This was a very 'malignant' energy of someone who did NOT want me near that table (or possibly that item!), kind of a 'What are you doing here? Go Away!' or 'You have no business being here!' kind of feeling. {Hate to add this, but it was a feminist shop - but money is money and I can spend my male dollars elsewhere!}

As I said - rather than scare me off, I deliberately stood there to piss them the hell off!

I would do that too heehee! I haven't had that happen but sometimes I feel a very distinct physical nudge behind my shoulder. Often while falling asleep but sometimes not, but it's more benign than your experience. I equate it with 'something's trying to get my attention', for whatever reason. Even though it's not frightening, it's startling. Maybe you're supposed to get a tsochka(s)? And whoever/whatever didn't want you to? Did you?

Wot's a tsochkas? :bugeyed: Never mind, I'll Google...

ETA: a bedroom with polka-dot curtains, flowery wallpaper, and shelves cluttered with tchotchkes from a lifetime of vacations. ??? Knick-knacks?

tchotchke by any other name would be easier to spell

According to the Online dictionary the correct spelling is:

tchotchke - (Yiddish) an inexpensive showy trinket

for an audible pronunciation:

Ok no lie.....I was just in my e-mail reading this super declutter article that was linked to Oprahs newsletter and this word tchotchkes was in it. LOL and then I come here and here it is again and I have never heard this word before.

tarotbear I haven't had this experience but I LOVE that you guys touched everything : )
Within this past week though I did feel like someone was leaning on my right shoulder when I was driving to work. This feeling was very sudden and I hadn't moved. LOL I thought of CN and asked ok who's there? All of a sudden my muscle in my upper arm tightened. I have no idea what that was supposed to mean.

No never, not even close to a experience like that, as a matter of fact I have touched many things that I should have not... and wish something had pushed me away ;)

Some spirits are very attached to their ex-material belongings - maybe that is who you met? An earthbound spirit? Whatever the case - fascinating stuff, and you obviously trounced the spirit, tarotbear :)
