Has anyone used or come across some experience with spells, i ask out of curiosity due to a post i read earlier. Do spells work, or is it just wishfull thinking. It seems this subject rarely comes up on AT.
oh wow and there i was thinking that they were all wishfull thinking. They don't work 100% of the time for various reasons, but I've found they work quite well the vast majority of the time.
im fascinated now lol but on the same hand im afraid if thats make sense. from were does a person learn about spells, my curiosity has the better of me lolOf course, it's not like Bewitched. You have to be realistic in your expectations, work with the way things happen naturally, and most often you have to do the footwork to help it along. For example, if you're unemployed and do a money spell it's not likely that it's going to work if you just sit on your butt and wait for the money to roll in. For the best results you should start looking for a job, and at very least you might want to buy a lottery ticket. Not that you're likely to win the jackpot, but you may just win a few dollars to help you along.
I learned from Wicca 101 books and others in the new age category. (There are a lot of strictly spell books on the market.)
It's good to have someone in person who can teach you to move energy, but if you've already got experience with that you may do just fine using books alone. I also had some friends who were also practitioners to help me along, but it was something that seemed to come quite naturally to me.
Whether it comes naturally or not, though, it is a skill and can be taught to anyone willing to learn.
That's not the type of spells I've come across in the sources I mentioned. That does sound like it might be a particular type of magic known as hoodoo. I don't know if it's OK to post a link to a site that deals more with hoodoo, but if you do a websearch for Lucky Mojo Curio I'm sure you'll be able to find the site where they have resources for learning about hoodoo as well.
