What is your Credo?

In the last few days I had sooo much fun delving into the Greenwood deck studies and gathering all kinds of information pertaining to he images on the cards and writing about what I know....
But - this morning I took a step back and thought:
” Why am I doing this? What is “in it “ for me?”
Of course, it is FUN!!!!
I loooove to do this....
It is - like teaching, just doing it together with friends. And then it “clicked” in my Bird brain: It is my credo, that I am following, when I am doing this!
And: My credo is still “right on”.
That however I find very important!
See, I also have this journal, for small daily entries of what is going on and “every day life” that My husband and me fill out every day.
> The Sacred journey - Daily journal for your Soul< ,
In the front of it however it asks the user to write:
My Credo:
My Heart calling:
My path of service:
Building my Circle:
My Giveaway to others and myself:
along with
Goals for the coming year specified in to
-Spiritual, relationships, finances, health, personal growth, creative expressions, travel and play and several other headings....

But it all starts with your credo as the fundament , the basis upon which your life stands....
For the last 11 years my credo has not changed and it is good to feel it freshly affirmed.
My Credo has 3 parts:

I am a part of the Universe and the Universe is a part of me.
We are all part of this living Universe.
Everything is alive!
Everything has a story.....

I am standing beneath a Teaching Tree
who’s vast branches stretch towards the Light
I can not see the outer parts of these branches,
because the Tree is forever growing.
So am I.

My life fulfilling truth
is a philosophy,
for which many others have no frame of reference.
By walking my path
I can change that.

What is your credo?

Guiding Cauldron

But it all starts with your credo as the fundament , the basis upon which your life stands....

Interesting question and yet I did not hesitate in answering in my head; I would say my creed is: LIVE! (which amazingly I sometimes forget to do!)

By Live I mean:

Take that chance
Try it
Take a step, regardless of the direction or lack of it
Through the ups, downs and all arounds just live to my fullest :)

Dancing Bear

Very interesting question Mi-Shell

I had to think about it.. as i am not one to write things down
But i guess my credo consists of many little sayings, I live by and apply to my life , and have to remind myself of at times.

Ok here is what i live by, and i belive how it should be for me..

"I will, To will, Thy will"

always look at the Bigger picture.

Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is something to be acheived, start creating yours today..

No time like the present.

Trust in the Universe, in your entirety it only has your best interest at heart.

Live as One, with all that surrounds you.

Walk your talk.

It is an interesting question, truly. I have a few, some humorous, others serious.

Life is short. Eat dessert first. :D

Mjolnir - this is the name of the hammer that the Norse god of justice and thunder, Thor, wielded. I try to live my life in a way that would exemplify the olden understanding of honour. This means that often I'm out of place in this world, but it's being true to myself.

And, of course: Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. Love is the Law; Love under Will.

Hello Mi-Shell!

I was happy to see that you mentioned The Sacred Journey Journal as the Bradness has been getting it for me the last three years, what an excellent journal!

I use it to record my daily pulls of my Tarot and Runes, then I use the full monthly calendar to keep track of patterns, repeats, thoughts too. :)

My credo is brief and I've taken it from last year and hope to expound on it this year and it is:

"Be who you are. Respect your Ancestors. Tell their stories."

I have not yet sat down to fully reflect and work on the other sections as of yet but am ready to do it this upcoming weekend. I need to get myself focused and this journal is an excellent tool for that.

*hugs*

Lewen :)

Milfoil

I confess, I have never thought about putting it into words but its such a good thing to do.

The Creed I live by, that which is central to me is:

As a raindrop is to an ocean,
As a star is to the sky,
As a leaf is to a great Oak tree,
So am I

Where I wander in my dreams,
Where the teacher begs me try,
Where the silent water ever falls,
There am I

In the change that breaks me free,
In the act of asking why,
In the joy of service to others,
Here am I

To always seek the highest option,
To never fear, instead to fly,
To understand myself in others,
I will always try.

Oh how beautiful
and hoe true, you guys!
Your answes make me smile! :)

Lewen!
I too received this journal since the last 3 years from my partner, Peter!
What a coincidence - if there ever is such a thing.....
Every week I pick out a picture or print out an artwork that inspires me and put it on the left page, making sure there is enough room for my daily draws. On the right side we write short synapses of the day's events and what animals came by...
Do you have the cards that go with it?
I never was all too sure about them, so I do not...

What a coincidence for sure! :)
I like your idea of printing out a picture or artwork that inspires. I think I might try that idea! Usually I just write lists of things that I want to accomplish or just make lists of things that make me happy etc. there.

I do not have the cards, although I thought about it. I do like the way the months have symbols with interesting things to think about. Please continue to share what you do or ideas!

Demon Goddess

If I understand correctly, my credo is: Stop thinking, start feeling.

My Thoughts

Well, I don't call this a prayer or even an affirmation, merely what I say to try to focus on bringing this into my day each morning. OH, and the UNIVERSAL ONE I refer to is whatever you want it to be, God by any name or form, but it also refers to ALL THINGS and the energy of the UNIVERSAL ONE that flows through all.

If someone prefers to use another word instead of Universal One, easily adapted, but this is also great for just about anyone as one needn't even believe in a God. For me, it's about energy and the power within and without. I generally face the window and the sun as I say it (I have a lovely view from my second floor bedroom window). I wrote this, here goes:

I honor and celebrate the Universal One.

I am thankful for this day.

I am grateful for everything I am, including my body, mind and spirit.

I am sorry for any action I have chosen in the past that has offended or harmed the Universal One. Today is a new day and I commit to being a better person.

Today, may I be productive, creative and at peace.

Today, may I make the world a better place and someone else's life a little happier.

Today, may I be patient, thoughtful, understanding and forgiving to all beings, including myself.

Today, may I remember we are all part of the Universal One, and that my actions affect not only myself, but others.
