what to do with candle?

For those of you who do candle spells, what do you do with the candle when your wish comes true before the candle burns out?


I burn novena candles and attach wishes and prayers onto them. i recently burned a novena and within 2 days my wish came true. the candle still has about 5 days to go until it is burned out. Do I blow it out or allow it to burn on?

I have a few books that based on candle rituals/spell/magic but none of them covers what to do with the candle if the wish is granted before the candle burns out and i haven't found anything about this on google, either

I'm not sure if there are tips on this one but in my case, when I get my wish before the expected time, I turn off the candle. In other cases, I leave the candle burning and dedicate my it to my other prayers even if they are not novena types.

My feeling is that I would let it burn, because I probably wouldn't reuse it, anyway. I might do a little thankful chant or beam some gratefulness in its direction, but I'd let it burn out.

I agree with OG here. let it burn and give thanks for the remaining time it takes to burn out.
