What are the most common querent questions?

Ohhh ... I get it now .

They were tennis partners ? Partners in crime ?

You'd be surprised the number of - usually women - who marry, then their partner goes off them for some reason, and they decide they are themselves SO alluring it MUST be that he's really gay :)

(Not forgetting the gay men who do actually marry to cover their tracks with judgemental or overly religious relatives - or in a country where being gay gets you summarily shot... Women never seem to have to do that.)

I think the usual questions reflect sociological/cultural influences. Women are often conditioned to believe that their task in life is to get married and make babies. If they choose otherwise, they should adopt the male imperative to get a good job to provide a suitable income. So relationships and career should be common questions from female querents.

I can't guess about male querents. I am not particularly interested in the male of the species, and my own gender identity is obviously male but psychologically a bit ambiguous. :)

Sometimes I get lost during the way and I'll need reassurance. Anytime I get readings from the cards, it gives me hope and something to look forward too. :)

what a lovely attitude about readings.

I always get asked WHEN...
When will he/she contact me?
When will we see each other?
When, when, when!

I get lots of questions about love and money, too. There are other subjects that come up but those seem to be the biggest ones.

In my experience (admittedly, it isn't much) this happens independently from gender. The guys I've read for, if memory serves, have asked about love as much as the ladies. There have been a couple of readings where it took a backseat but I can also think of women for whom it wasn't a big part of their readings either. They seem to be just as detailed when it comes to asking about specific problems they're facing, too.

Oh yeah .... marriage partners ( DOH! forehead slap) I forgot about that. yeah, that can be a weird scene. I remember once giving a married friend a neck and shoulder rub and she just about melted and went all funny. I asked her what was up and she said she never had been touched like that before (and she married for 25 years and has 2 kids :bugeyed: ) . When I met my wife (now separated but good friends) I gave her a foot massage, same thing - she said she had never been massaged before - yikes! Whats going on out there?

Because (as Queen Victoria is supposed to have said) women cannot be homosexaul because they dont have the necessary equipment ... ... .. :bugeyed:

Interesting indeed! :gasp:

It does apply with the genders swapped!

Your point about females sometimes crosses my mind. In the UK lesbianism has never been legislated against. That should grab all those equality merchants!!

The tarot has failed me.

It never comes up with the winning lottery numbers!

You do know WHY it wasn't ? - and I was told this by a historian so... It was right in the legislation too - same sex stuff - and when it was taken for the royal assent and signature etc, Victoria said "but how can women..." and no-one had the nerve to explain it to her, so they took it out instead ! (I suspect it is in fact an urban myth, but still...)

Ooh. At the time I was told, google was not my friend (i.e. I didn't even have a computer !). BUT: my bold:

The myth apparently started in Wellington, New Zealand, in 1977, to explain why a demonstration for lesbian equality centred on a statue of Vicky. Labouchere’s true motives for criminalising male homosexuality are still disputed; what seems certain is that banning female homosexuality never crossed his mind. Some historians suggest that the male establishment avoided legislating on lesbianism, for fear of drawing women’s attention to its existence.

I have never heard of a lesbian marrying just to conceal the fact of her sexuality, though. I believe you - but I am surprised. I do (did) know a nasty piece of work who married a lesbian who was trying to make herself (convince herself she was) straight - and it turned out he married her because he wanted to watch her having sex with other women... UGH.

Divorce ensued and now she writes for a major lesbian publication, I believe.
