Yes, financially. It is possible, of course, to work in a company with this qualification, too but my goal is to have something on my own, if I can.

what kind of a relationship does she want with me?
you can phrase or rephrase the question again, If you like. I just want to try and find out where I stand with her, what she is about. what do I need to see in regards to her, and where or how our relationship will go.

Hi Minderwiz, I had some spare time and cast a chart for a friend of mine who is eager to marry her knight in shiny armour. So, she asked "Will I marry B?" The chart was cast at 1:59 pm on May 16, 2015, Toronto, Daylight Saving Time, it has Mercury to signify my friend and Jupiter to signify the knight. I use Regiomontanus.
I see the refranation which will prevent Mercury from perfecting the sextile with Jupiter (sadly) as well as the square from the Moon (her co-significator) to Jupiter. It all makes me think the answer is "no" (very bad as she really wants to). I'm also a bit concerned for her as turning retrograde Mercury will start applying to Mars which rules her 8th.
Ignoring this whole situation, my question is regarding the wonderful sextile between the Moon and Venus accompanied by a great reception! My friend is a freelancing translator with two kids and I'd realy love to tell her that something will brighten up financially (Venus rules the 2nd). Am I correct? Will an opportunity (sextile) come for her in the finances departement? I know we are not supposed to look for other things in the horary aside from the question but the configuration is quite beautiful to miss!

So, the position I enquired about last month will close advertising today. Therefore there shouldn't be any "changes" regarding the candidates I'm up against - noone new to apply and change the fates. Knowing that I already have a better chance being that I am a former employee and left on very good terms - how does it look for me to secure this position at this stage now?

Well first off, your friend isn't in danger of dying/poor health from this chart. Yes Mars is Lord 8 and is now applying to that conjunction with Lord 1. However, firstly there is reception and Lord 8 doesn't kill someone when there's reception - indeed, unless your friend has known and serious health problems it's not likely that death is signified at all. However there's an additional point. The Moon will reach Mars before Mercury does, so any ill effects are prohibited.
On the Moon Venus sextile; You are right, we shouldn't read for things that aren't connected with the question. But, there is something that just might apply to the question. It lies in Masha'allah's claim that the Moon or Lord 1 applying to an aspect with a benefic in an angle, promises the matter will be perfected. Now Venus is a benefic and it is in the tenth house (though not in Gemini). The Moon is applying to Venus from her own sign of Exaltation and Venus' Domicile. So there is certainly Reception and it doesn't matter whether Venus has essential dignity or not, according to Masha'allah (though she does by Dorothean triplcities). Indeed there is a classic Mutual Reception here but I don't think that matters for Masha'allah's point to hold.
Is there a fly in the ointment? Well Venus is over 33 degrees from the MC and it's very arguable as to whether she should be treated as angular. Nevertheless, she is in a succeedent house and the premier one at that, one that ranks above the fourth and (in some authors) the seventh.
So I'd be tempted to tell her that there is grounds for hope but no guarantee. That's probably a better answer in the circumstances, both her own and those of the chart. Telling her there's no chance at all, is rather likely to upset her, as you recognise and the chart does offer some hope, assuming Masha'allah is correct.

Hi Minderwiz and thank you for your help! My friend has developed some may be irrational fear about her health and she is facing some minor health issues but by no means as serious as she may think they are, given her not so objective attitude. I'm glad to know that whatever is wrong will most probbaly be fixed with proper medical care, thank you for this!
OK, so... I was thinking along the lines of her finding something financially better, like a contract for a longer time or similar, even if not a permanent job. Are you actually saying that based on Masha'allah she can marry the man? I have to re-read this man, gotta love him these days!
