I just got my Margarete Petersen tarot after a long wait from Germany. Alas, it's not the version I wanted, so I'm still in search of the older English version in a white/light grey lidded box. So if anyone knows of one.... ;-)

My bookstore estimated that I have to wait 2 to 3 months before I get my books. But in less than a month, I got word that aside from Snuffin's Thoth Companion, Banzhaf's The Crowley Tarot and most importantly, The Book of Thoth (by The Great Beast 666 Himself) is already available for pick up. I can't wait for the weekend! What with my passion for both books and the Thoth Tarot, this is a double whammy. I can't wait to wrap my hands (literally) and my brains (figuratively) around them! Positively quivering with excitement now.

Hi thoughtful - I can't say about the first two links, but the 3rd and 4th links PHOTO is correct, but I know for a fact that they have reprinted using a tuck box. They just reused the old stock photo. These newer cards have a small border on the backs of the cards. I want the lift off box, borderless backs, and a bound book - not a stapled booklet. The one I want was printed back around 2004. These new versions are a 2014 reprint of the 2004 version with slight variations. I'm not in a hurry since I have the other one in hand. But, thanks for the information. It's very "thoughtful" of you!!! You chose your name well. :D

i am waiting for chrysallis, classic llewellyn, 365 spreads book, a jolanda, really cheap. that was a nice surprise, plus i bought a Lars-Kustian Holmans Tarot book and cards last night for a $1.73 plus shipping. funny how these affordable decks can add up tho. but i would like to eventually get my wish list down to the ones that I will probably never get LOL.

I am almost thru with the decks on the list I want to try and read with, the rest are for me to look at. like my material i dyed. I don't care if i sell it, when i get soooo stressed, i iron it and it brings out all the beautiful colors and patterns so much more.
