A spread for an upcoming competition?

Two different spreads needed! 1 for an upcoming competition, another for childbirth

#1, lol: My brother-in-law is in this regional mechanics' competition this weekend and he was #1 in the semi finals out of the five that got into the final competition. I'd like any ideas for a spread I could do (not too big) about this upcoming competition - how it will go, how the family back home (he's going about 2 hours away for it) will be, etc. etc.


#2: My brother-in-law's (same one!) sister is going to be induced (childbirth) this Saturday (while he is away, darn) and I was looking around for a childbirth spread. I would like to know, how it's going to go, how the family will be, etc. The basic ideas/thoughts of someone giving birth. We already know the sex (boy!).

I've found two spreads in the Index that cover at least the labor itself, the second one also covers how the mother feels after childbirth. Maybe you can change them a bit or use only those places you need. Here we go:
