Thanks to Padma for the link, and to Rodney for the active/passive division. I agree with the general sentiment that a perfect pairing division probably doesn't work--or at best, that it needs to be made to work, and is not inherent in the cards--but I still think it's interesting to think about. You've given me a couple of different angles from which to approach the issue.
