Anyone else strongly affected by last week's new moon? I quite suddenly went into a weepy mood on Friday evening, which is VERY unlike me. I usually can't cry even when I feel like it... just occasionally a phase of crying (triggered by the most trivial things) hits for an hour or so, but it's very rare, less than yearly. On Friday I put it down to exhaustion since I'd overdone things badly for a day or so. But after an early night and lazy start, I was the same all of the next day.
That's far longer than this ever happens, and it was triggered by any happy feeling rather than anything sad, poignant, frustrating etc. For example as I fed the dog, it crossed my mind that she was glad and that made me tearful! Things like the shape of a tree against the sky being lovely, really small triggers but all positive. And then it went off towards the end of Saturday.
It came on mid/late evening on Friday, meaning 8pm-ish, but I only realised yesterday that the new moon was at 8.30pm exactly (BST).
This can't have been suggestibility, which I'm always wary of. Beforehand I knew which day the new moon fell on and that it was in Taurus, but hadn't bothered about more detail, and I didn't read any articles on it till a couple of days after it happened - when I discovered that lots of planets are retrograde at the moment. So now I'm wondering if my odd weepiness was about the moon and all those rx planets, and whether others had the same kind of reaction or maybe different but equally out-of-character reactions.
I notice that people who think of themselves as astrologers (everywhere, not only on AT) don't tend to be the same people who talk about picking up on the energy of the moon's phase, etc. In more general terms such as a year of overspending but socialising loads, related to Jupiter's position, yes... but the focus is almost all on the left-brain stuff. To the extent that I almost put this in Spirituality as I forgot that it related to Astrology, since the habitual character of conversations and ponderings in each of these two demographics (not quite the word but I'm floundering here ) are so different.
Anyway. I did remember that Astrology exists and this is about the Moon!
