Langustl

Hallo you dear !

I like to show you my first finished 22 tarot-cards, that I painted in the last month and like you to follow the origin of the other 56, if you want. The size of them is each 20 X 12 cm in the original, don´t know how much in inch, or what you use, sorry,*g . I used acrylic colours on special paper. I try to give you a view on the symbolical content of the cards, if you´re interestet in the next days. First of all the link, for you can have a look on them. http://www.langustl.de/tarotmotivega.html

The FOOL

Thank you all, you´re very kind !

So I want to introduce to you the symbolic of the first card of my deck, THE FOOL (der Narr).
This card was the second I painted. I don´t use persons on the cards, exept on the person-cards as there will be king, queen, prince and princess of each element. So you only see the hand of the fool, holding a wand. This is a symbol for his fire, that drives him to discover the world. The water and the fishes stand for the feeling, on wich his decisions are based, in my opinion. What you also see are the butterflies. (*lol, I sit here with my dictionary, good english-lesson) These I chose for his thoughts and ideas, what he got a lot, I think. The fool akts spontaneously, this is good for daring things without prejudice, but you can see the sword hidden behind the green. When will he see it? It is the energy, he got the least of all. And so some day he may hit a border.

Magic

I thank you Bad_Celvin and seule !

Very nice your paintings, seule, I really like them

Here is the explanation of the next card, MAGIC (der Magier):

This card was the first I painted, asked by a member of a german tarot-forum. You see a big eye, that always on my cards stand for a spiritual energy or connection to god. The eye got the form of a triangle what also represents the three-in-one priniciple, father-son-holy ghost. In the iris the wheel of fortune is suggested. Around the eye you have the symbols for the four elements: cups with water and fishes, a wand with leafs and fire, coins with a house and a tree and two swords together with the butterfly for the element of air. They together built the magic talents and forces. The two swords seperate up and down and left and right. Also you have the lemniskate / bow of eight (how do you call that?) running through the eye.

p.s. here I should do a change. I would like to take one fish away, to have only one fish on the card nr.1

Strange2

These are wonderful cards, Langustl! I really like the iconic close-up view of the key symbolism of the cards. Almost as if you (the viewer) are IN the card, or ARE the card.

Do you have any plans on having this deck printed? I would be most interested!
