Saturn effect

Saturn symbolizes a number of things such as the earth, cold, harshness, restrictions -- and BUNKERS. You can't hide from Saturn. Saturn is a "process" of maturing, of responsibilities and obligations, of growth within time, of correction towards the mainstream, etc.

While transits may or may not be easily seen, depending upon several factors, the "process" will occur or you will only face it under more severe conditions later. Saturn is like winter, it doesn't go away until it is time to go away. Funny thing, thought, we mostly find we are better off for dealing with Saturn's lessons-opportunities. Dave

With it being at a sextile to Mercury, would that indicate maybe conflicts or struggles along with the growth?...It was interesting that you pointed out that Saturn was a "process" of maturing and responsiblities and obligations...
It would make sense with everything that is going on here...the baby has started to crawl (pushing with her legs now) and I've been helping out more with my mil since she's been needing an extra hand; In the meantime, taking to working with Grasshopper at home with pre-school tutoring so to speak;

Saturn is all about DEFINITION

If you look at Saturn in terms of "defining" something, then it becomes easier to decipher its primary messages.

Saturn sextile Mercury might be seen as "Defining how you perceive, think and communicate about rules, obligations, teaching and learning, seeking stability."

Do you need to consider a more disciplined process of thinking, studying, planning what you say, what you study? Have you taken the time to assess your views about your obligations? What is really important in your life, and have you shared this with others to see how they react to your views? These are a very few ways of considering this aspect.

Remember also that you have to keep your natal patterns in mind when looking at aspecting transits. Dave

Mars is starting to enter a trine to Saturn, feeling the pressure yet? We see this in effect in the early morning hours, respect for hard work nets respect for stressful situations, but they must be in compatablility with eachother or conflict will arise. Saturn's the big lightweight, Atlas would not feel useful holding up this paticular planet.

Mars is pushing for activity, atheletic and otherwise, we are feeling the need for completion and resolution, further more we are trying to get things situated for potential advancment. Obstructions will be viewed at with deep seated scrutiny, and our rights for a return to productivity shine brightly.

Saturn affects us all, so be patient with the restrictions that present themselves to you, in Leo those restrictions may have to be dealt with by a leader above you or below you, but communication of the truth of the situation is paramount.

after the full moon

the moon is closing in on Saturn retrograde, our emotional states for this weekend are not going to be very tolerating. we feel restricted by our leaders and their roles. Mars is closing in on a Saturn trine, pushing us to make the most of our restrictions and transform beyond them. Mercury and the sun enter conjunction mode and push communication to a new level, our brains will be in full force as the weekend gears up.

The moon is our emotional balance, we feel hampered by Saturns pushiness to control, but saturn is in retrograde, meaning that our emotions may be out of control and we may react and over react to things that shouldn't be a problem. Saturn is our challanges, and goes against our very nature of wanting more and being able to give up what we don't want, and in some cases, what we think others don't want. This is coming to an end, and an emotional conclusion, we see what happens when we give what we shouldn't, and what happens when we don't deal with the true karmic situaiton that we create for ourselves. the moon and saturn create a very fearful situation that we are fully aware of, and may not be able to deal with.

Mercury and the sun conjunct (in capricorn) put us into communication mode, we walk, talk, and work all at the same time. we want to reveal the truth of our workplace, we want to communicate our realities, we feel like the entire world is ready for an upgrade, but something is going to have to go in the process.

Mars is our drive, he is our power source, our battery. We are at the point where we will need a rechargable battery though, and we might feel very restricted by our surroundings, but those restrictions provide for new freedoms to take hold. Mars and pluto are close to conjunction, but the distance between the two is so great that we just might let it pass us by without too much fanfare. Athletic energies are very predominant right now, but intellectual and mental based entertainment will be restored to full view.

The moral of the weekend, pushiness outside the workplace gets you nowhere, pushiness in the workplace acts as a deterant of laziness and half-done performance.

Monday: Mars trine Saturn, it's here and it will be brief. But the energy that this power duo exerts will be felt across teh entire zodiac. Mars is our action, our activity, Saturn represents the restrictions placed upon us, SAgittarius for MArs is all about the body and and physical exertion, Leo represents leadership drive. Saturn is restrictive to what we want to do (mars) and drives us to achieve in another way. Rearranging a few things might have to come into play, but as everything moves foreward, we will see what the real problems are and how we move past them.

Mars will then conjunct pluto, on wedsday chiron conjuncts venus. Mars and pluto are teh masculane drive in this situation, they want things done and done fast, but combined the far reaching consequences (pluto) and the short term actions (mars) are at odds with eachother. Venus and Chiron are the female drive, pressuring for finesse and alertness. These two are not at odds with eachother, they allow us to see ourselves for who we are, our faults, our desires, our needs, and our strengths are all presented at once. Mars and pluto put us on the offense, chiron and venus let us be defensive without having too much to worry about. (additional note, the moon will be physically at its furthest from the earth during the venus/chiron conjunction and trine thereof. This ecliptic point is the darkmoon, a point that has been referred to as the moons lilith and regards sexual energy, discrimination, and the darker side of the lunar mysteries, the crone of the triple goddess, trine to venus/chiron we can use the lunar energies to heal with our darker sides, sometimes something has to be let go for the whole to prosper.)

Leo, Sagittarius (and by default Gemini as opposition), and Aquarius natal planets are going to be affected heavily, watch out for squares to these conjunctions, pluto may be a dwarf planet now, but his impact is still there, esepecially when combined with Mars (red and black energy all around). Venus and Chrion could make us scatterbrained, make sure you have some brain food around.

Saturns restrictions meet their own restrictions when inconjuncts to mercury and the sun take place from teh 11th to the 14th, these restrictiosn involve direct communication (probably from leader to subordninate) and solar energy at the center of the situation drives us to make a final decision regarding something that has nagged us for a while.

Would this explain my 24 hour cleaning frenzy yesterday??? I've been feeling the amazing urge to eliminate a lot of clutter. Had energy coming out of nowhere really..Strange!

Saturn is "large scale" . . .

W.W. Typically, Saturn paints it lessons on a large life-sized canvas. It may be that your frenzied cleaning of house clutter is a daily example of much more overall approach to cleaning life's clutter. Typically "energy" comes from Mars (active and physical) or the Moon (emotional reaction) but Saturn is associated with hard work, perseverance, commitment, etc. Dave
