I think this has been covered in another post. If the key-card apears either first or last I believe you're advised to re-do the cast because if it's first there's no Past cards, and if it appears last, there's no Future cards. But check for the post.

Bee.

Thank you, Bee. I get kind of confused since I came in so late and I fumble around trying to find things in the various threads. I have trouble knowing which thread to look into for an answer, and then once I start looking, something calls me away from the computer and I lose my place sometimes. I'll keep trying harder to explore to get my own answers by seeing if the questions were already asked without asking for help here. :)

Hi Solitaire,
Don't worry about it :) no question is a silly question-
you ask, and if Sylvie isn't available, one of us who have been around awhile will help too:)

Glad you're here!

here it is--- :)

hi Sylvie..

this is a structural question regarding the layout for actions and interactions between people. if i am looking to investigate actions for two parties involved.. utilising the 'no layout' spread- do i pick the cards until i get both man and woman key cards- and see whats between them?? will this way help to analsye the surrounding issues?

this is actually relevant to one of the case studies on the multi level reading.. as i can see when you go back and forth between the key cards- i do get the feeling of joint analysis- which makes sense if the two people are linked.

this does get a little complicated as there can be any number of cards in between them- in your professional experience- how best to proceed with this. in the book- you broke them up to pieces-- but you did also mention that a joint analysis may reveal more answers-

The multi level reading involves multi key cards and will likely use the entire deck of cards.
If the keycards chosen are about a topic such as work you do not have to look at all the cards between two keycards. Just focus only on the 3 cards each side of the key card -for each keycard of course!

Now if it is a relationship question between two people -which can also apply to karmic past life topics- you can definitively do the interaction -all the cards- between the two key cards. If there are too many you can focus only to the 3 left and right of each.

The other technique is to make two seperate inquiries: for example asking the intentions of this person and do a no lay out reading on the subject. And then do the same in another inquiry onto the other person. Then make a synthesis of what you got.

It is clear than readings can be a workout...there is no 'easy' question or 5 minute reading since you may uncover things that require double checking.

Double checking is a very important step for complex readings or layered info that are delicate if you make a mistake of interpretation. So doing spreads breaking down questions to cover all your tracks is essential to make sure you got it right.

hi sylvie

thank you for clarifying this. i realised as i got the answers i had more questions to clarify the answers--
i also realised in the book-- you actually do impress on the fact that clarification means having to redo the draws to confirm the answers..:)
there are no such things as instant answers.. lol!!!

what i realised is the significance of the answers if the repeat draws with different question angles bring up the same cards-- reconfirmation..

thank you for being such a star...

I am glad to read it is coming together for you...you are right, the more you get indepth with this deck the more you need to know and practice...you learn new tricks everytime you reach a new level of clarity.

The Lenormand deck has been dismissed by a lot of tarot readers as simplistic and easy. Not so! There are even dominant sites out there which do not believe there is much to say about the Lenormand!!!! In Europe you have access to a myriad of Lenormand books -not as much as tarot but a respectable number. Elas it seems that in the Anglo Saxon world a lot of pre conceived ideas remained on what these 36 card can really do in a psychic reading. It is sad!

I want to hope that some of you will carry the flag to open these closed minds and to show to curious ones how rich and amazing these cards can be in the right hands...It is the only reason why I donate my time to this forum!

Just food for thought :)

it will catch on like a forest fire sylvie-- but it is a specialist interest field- i know how much work and thought i have put in- and the practice-- like Lisa W said- when she was dreaming the cards--lol!!
incidentally- in my dreams i kept turning up the anchor card! :)

i know what it means to have a good teacher and to be guided-- i looked for it and found it-- with something so specific like the lenormand-- i doubt we'd be so on the mark if it weren't for your solid and consistent efforts.
