Suggestions for cute gargoyle deck or 60's style deck?

Alan Ross

My fiance wants to buy a tarot deck for her mother for Christmas. She wants to find one that either has lots of cute gargoyles in it (nothing too dark or gothic, so the Vargo Gothic is out) or a sixties style "Hippie" deck, with peace signs and maybe Peter Max style artwork. Any suggestions?

Gosh, how specific people are in their demands :)

hmmmm...I know there has to be something out there that fits the bill!
Maybe the Halloween for cute gargoyles?

and the only thing that comes up in my brain as a "Peter Maxx" sort of deck...is the coloring on a vintage Hoi Polloi.

There has to be something else out there though!

Isn't there a super cute Asian deck with a Flower Child vibe?

cute gargoyles!

If you go here and look down the right hand side you can search decks by theme or characteristic.

I couldn't find anything with cute gargoyles or hippies but I found the Bifrost Tarot which may be a suitable alternative:)

That was the first thing I tried. Nothing there really matched what my fiance had in mind.

I have the Aquarian, it's not quite what she has in mind either, or the Mountain Dream Tarot. She's looking for something closer to this in style:

or maybe this:

As far as the gargoyles go, I think my fiance had in mind a theme deck similar to the several dragon tarots available, but with cute gargoyles instead of dragons. Unfortunately, I suspect that neither of the two decks she's looking for exists, but I was still hoping that I missed something.

I think Sakki-Sakki tarot has a 60's mod look and feel to it because of pucci-esqe colors and design. A pucci-esque example http://www.newyorkpillowsanddrapes.com/images/item_large_465.jpg. No nudity in this deck AFAIK, but no gargoyles either. Pics of all 78 cards are available on http://sakki-sakki-com.

There are Peace symbols used in this deck, from what I remember!

Fantasy showcase, hands down, for 60s funky art.

Hoi Polloi for 60's seems good to me- but I suppose it is rare and unavailable.
