The Moon At Her Feet

The moon has a long history of association with the feminine, creative principle. Its meaning here seems pretty clear, but what's interesting to me is the fact that it's at her feet. This says to me she's on a higher plane than it is.....

Original insight here. She's above the moon and waters at her feet --- she transcends the lunar mirroring and gestating, the lunar flux, moodiness, receptive genesis. In another sense of it, she's the essence of the moon, it's her veil, her persona, her tool : Osiris is sun-essence, Isis is moon-essence. And yet there she is between the pillars, in balanced harmony between opposites of dark and light. Perfectly paradoxical !
