1889 - Les 22 Arcanes du Tarot Kabbalistique, B&W with color by stencil.
Wirth himself says that in 1889 the deck was published under the title Mary wrote here, limited to 350 copies, by G. Poirel. But some other sources (Westcott in 1896, the magazine "LE VOILE D'ISIS" in 1928, Van Rijnberk in 1947, etc.) mention the 1889 deck as "Le Livre de Thot", limited to
100 copies. Are they identical or not? Might one have been a reprint of the other? One which includes a peculiar card is being on its way to my house, and I hope it will be some clue to the problem.
?Miscellaneous cards from de Guaita book?
They are from de Guaita's 1897 book "La Clef de la Magie Noire" (the 2nd volume of "Le Serpent de la Genèse"), which Waite reviewed in "The Key to the Tarot". Wirth drew 7 tarot cards (8 LA JVSTICE - 14 TEMPERANCE) for this book. Since I uploaded 3 of them in my last post, I will do the rest here. (See the attached files.)
