78 Cards by Lana Zellner

strings of life

Gory? Really? To each his/her own. Decks shouldn't be all butterflies and fairies. Allegories are fine too. But then again, one of my favorite reading decks is Elisabetta Cassari's Solleone Tarot.

LZel , you don't have to defend your work!

However, you should add the link to your website or Kickstarter project on your Aeclectic profile here and make a Facebook page specifically for the deck. That's the marketing side of me coming out.

I'll be backing your project, just deciding at what level!

Thanks for the feedback, as well as the future funding support!! :) I will definitely add the links on my profile, good thinking. I hadn't even considered it.

Seriously though, I take no offense to different opinions on the drawings at all. I really enjoy hearing the opinions, actually. Not everyone will like every drawing... that's just how it goes. And that's OK with me.

I'm making this deck for myself and my art portfolio. The fact that other people have taken an interest in it at all is MIND BLOWING to say the least. The response has been generally VERY positive (though this card has rattled a few people).

Generally, I am a very heavy handed artist, and my metaphors are clear, sharp, and in your face. This card just happens to be quite intense at it's core... so it comes out in my drawings.

My husband hates The Empress card for the same reasons that some people haven't liked this card.... exaggeration and heavy handed symbolism. "It's just TOO MUCH! Boobs are too big, belly is too big, the flowers look like vagina's!!" He just doesn't like it.

LZel, i love your cards. So clear and powerfull. Is there a way to back your kickstarter without a creditcard? I do have a paypal account...

Unfortunately no, Kickstarter only accepts the funds through CC, and I am not selling them anywhere else at this point. Sorry about that.

Kickstarter payments are done via amazon accounts, if that's a way around it ?

What about an amazon gift card?

You have to buy those with your amazon account.... and actually I don't think they would kick into the amazon payments system.

Do you mean you have to use an amazon account to buy them?
or to use them?

Certainly to buy them. I have no idea whether you do to USE one - you'd have to set something up, I guess, so that they know where to mail to...

But in any case, I can't see how you could use one for a kickstarter - you have to back a project and then that "authorisation" goes to your amazon payments account and sits there until the goal is reached and then they- charge your ACCOUNT - so...

I think Maan will have to get someone else to back it and then pay THEM with paypal ?
