It is a very nice deck, but I liked that fovale more, so I sold it :) If you like a deck with non-illustrated pips- they both rock.

Alchemy 1977 England Tarot, weird title, dark deck?

http://www.alidastore.com/indexen.html
It's in their new titles list and has skulls on the back.
Does anyone have this deck yet?
Fournier is the publisher.

looks like plain pips

Yes, I have it - and I really rather like it. Yes, pip cards - but beautifully decorated ones.

I did send Solandia some scans a while ago.... MAYBE they are still on my server.... one moment...

ETA nope - but I can post them in a few days when I am back in the UK.

ETA there are a whole 21 cards in the alida page.... with several pips. LOVELY stuff :)

I had an Alchemy playing card deck that used some of the same art. (it has gone in a trade)

I think border-trimmers would have a difficult time with this one! :D

Is the story behind the title in the LWB? That is the most awkwardly titled deck I've run across

Laura Borealis

I think it's just the company's name. I'm not sure what the exact name is, but I see it rendered as Alchemy Gothic, Alchemy Gothic 1977 etc.

I believe they started as a jewelry company and expanded. http://www.alchemygothic.com/

It is a very odd title and I have no idea why it is as it is, no. I will have another look when I get back to the Collection :) I think it is related to laura's old deck, in some way. Seems to me I found a website once...

Aren't there some Bicycle decks with Alchemy in the title? Any relation? I'm sure I have some. but I agree with AJ, what an awkward name. At least call it The 1977 English Alchemy (or Alchemical?) Tarot.

Alchemy Gothic seems part of the name...

Although I have seen England 1977 also included in the name on the Fournir site. So Fournir did help distribute/produce? By the way the alchemical imagery is classic for the rock-goth, I am guessing? Good for classic Halloween...

Shop around, here's another site:

And one one website that I cannot find right now, there was a playing card deck, but I do not know if the playing cards were distributed with the Bicycle brand in different countries. If I find this, I will add the link
