Sensual Goddess Tarot (deck on etsy)

I've been sharing this around and I've received some interesting reactions to it, but does anyone actually have this deck? TBH, it reminds me of a genderswapped Tarot Deck of Heroes.

Hmm. To be honest, the imagery seems more "gratuitous" than "sensual" to me. It seems as though large, pendulous breasts are required in order for a woman to be sensual.

I dunno. I'm not a prude, really. I don't mind nudity in my decks (and have some decks that *do* feature nudity). But I just don't think I'm buying that this deck -- according to the website -- is "designed to create an open connection to the goddess aspect that is within us all. " The five of pentacles, for example, is ludicrous. The two women are walking through a winter scene, snow flurries all around them, and the woman with the shawl doesn't even bother to cover her breasts for *warmth*.

I *do* like the nine of swords, though.

Just my opinion. Then again, as a gay man, I'm reasonably sure I'm not the intended audience, so...

It's seems more pornographic than goddessy. I'm all for artistic nudity too, but this seems more salacious to me and I suppose that's artistic to some. I can see something like this selling well at Spartacus Leathers!

It follows the RIder Waite Smith imagery too closely. Basically a boring RWS clone.

I do like the Hierophant card quite a bit and the Lovers is different in putting the emphasis on the angel.

Agree with you here. A little too plastic for me. But hey, if he just marketed it as a bawdy deck we wouldn't be having this conversation! It'd just be that naughty deck with the floating breasts and raunchy costumes. Just say what it is! Soft core porn! Nothing wrong with that, just admit it's a smutty deck, dude!
