I really want this deck :)

And I have saved up enough money to get it - but - I have not been able to find anywhere that has it in stock at the moment. It's not on amazon.com, bookdepository.co.uk or .com. It is available on the marketplace on amazon but it costs me so much in international shipping - another $20 basically.

Does anyone know why this is? Maybe lots of people buying it before christmas? I hope it isn't going OOP or anything ... it was available about a month ago but I didn't have enough money then ... and I am kicking myself that now I can afford it but can't find it.

How do others find this deck to read with anyway?

sorry you are having such a problem getting this deck you really want.
haven't any of the shops near you got it? or could they order it for you and that may save you the shipping charges?
just a thought.

Lunalyn - the shops where I live are ridiculously expensive for decks, I could end up spending around $70 for a deck & book :(

Pam O - thanks for the suggestion that price looks a bit more affordable :) I will have never ordered from alibris before so I will check out their shipping charges. It's good to hear your experiences of the deck :)

I do have this. I have not yet used it much for reading yet, but a lot of the art is very interesting and magical.

Thanks for this link Pam :) I just ordered that copy, it was a little more than I hoped to spend, but it is the cheapest around. I looked on a local website and the deck is out of stock there too and the price has risen to $104 - I thought I 'd better get in quick as the link you posted was definately the most affordable. I wonder if the deck is going out of print? It's suddenly not in stock and becoming expensive. Fingers crossed that it doesn't come down in price after christmas ... then I would be really annoyed with myself ;)

The Aeclectic page lists the publisher as Weiser, and the deck doesn't appear anywhere on their website, although several other decks do.. that may be a sign of it being out of print?

Perhaps it is ... it's certainly gone up in price in a months time! I'm happy I nabbed a copy before it got to expensive :)

They had some in a shop called "The Speaking Tree" in Glastonbury recently (they specialise in remaindered books etc). It isn't listed on their website but quite a lot of things aren't. It may be worth asking them. It is a beautiful deck.
