The Cariot-new

Well, hi !

I had a few opinions of friends, my chariot would lok like a man is drowning nd beeing rolled over by the wheel. So I tried a new chariot. I hope, you like it.

Symbolic:

The childhood, that will be left behind is shown by the water at the bottom of te picture. The fire points on the developing of the ego. The two hands hold a black rein in the left, a white rein in the right. There inbetween the polarities you can see the material world, where the chariot dares to go in. The astrological sign for the balance (?) is a hint on the justice, the chariot will come to. The joung human starts his journey in the light and follows, what he means is the sun. But in the sun there also star and moon are hidden. The way will lead into the night, but that´s not clear for him in the beginning. The purple in the wheel shows, that he has seen before, what he will meet in the night later.

The High Priestess changed

Hi !

I changed the colours of the High Priestess. I see her in a connection with the cups and the element of water. And so I chose the same colours. Also the other three of the first four cards have the same colours as the minor arcana they are connected with. The Magician with Wands (fire), the Empresss with Coins (earth) and Emperor with Swords (air). I think, these connections are possible ;) .

What do you think ?

The Temperance-new

Well, the TEMPERANCE was one card, where I ever thought about another version, because I wasn´t really satisfied with it. I didn´t get a real familar feeling with. Now I tried a new version. I find it much more calm. The leading character is clearer, I think. I hope, you like it too.

p.s. Would be interesting for me, to get your opinion, wich you like better and why. I´m still open with this decision.

The new version of Temperance is indeed clearer and calmer, perhaps too much so? I like the dynamic energy in the first version, yet it's a bit cluttered. Both versions are effective, I guess it depends on the effect that you want to portray.

Thanks Strange2 !

The most people say, they like the 1. version more. I also like the 1. version becuse of the mooving cups and their two colours. It shows that balancing in the area of unconscious. I guess, I leave the 1.version on the place. Maybe I want to do something at the eye in this painting. :love:

Hi, L! In my opinion, it's the sun and the eye together on the old version that make it a bit TOO dynamic. Perhaps if the sun was "toned down" a bit...made less important and less aggressive...the dynamic flow of the water between the cups would be clearer.

I will take the old version, the most, I asked want that. But I also will change a bit. The eye with the wings maybe. And I will take a look on the light, what you meant is too bright. I´ll see. Thanks :love:
