The thing with the Cross is that I rarely pinpoint the exact meaning until past the spread when I can look back. Like with this advice which I gave just as an example. I don't know what it means, that's the truth. I can guess just like you but at the end - I don't know. In my opinion, it's still a card to be taken more negatively and from my experience is more often negative than not. At best, as an advice I'd take it to mean "very difficult" if possible at all. At worst - cross it. No.
