New Custom Tarot Deck Sales Tool

The Game Crafter

No, I mean that for a seller/creator to include a bag doesn't work within store.

Ah yes, that works just fine. Unfortunately I can't attach an image here, but I'll give you the steps to do exactly this:

Go to our game editor: https://www.thegamecrafter.com/publish

Choose the game you wish to edit.

Click on "Edit Details".

Scroll about half way down the page and look on the right side. There you will find an attribute labeled "Is a box required for publishing this game?". Change that attribute to "No".

Then you no longer need a box to publish your game to our shop.

The Game Crafter

No, she means the decks are shipped directly to the buyer so there would
be no way to add
a bag instead of the box unless the artist had the decks shipped to themselves first
and then sent them off to the buyer with a bag.

We have bags you can add to your deck, and you can use the rules I just posted for gregory to turn off the need for a box to be shipped directly to the buyer.

You have not offended me. I actually do have decks that I've been using for 5+ years made by The Game Crafter and I don't have any of the problems that you're talking about. I agree that the boxes are thin, because they're made with the same cardstock as the cards, but I have zero problems with the cards. I have certainly heard from people that think the cards are too thin, too thick, too "insert personal preference here", but that is far less than 1% of our 60,000 person user base.

Thicker card stock will not make cards more durable. In fact, it will make them less durable, because the edge will be thicker when you bounce the cards against each other during shuffling. That's why we're seeking out the casino quality paper, because it is actually slightly thinner than our existing card stock, but has a different construction density and grain which makes them have more "snap". The cards will shuffle slightly better and will be more durable.

Yes, the thick cards aren't good either. Will you have something on the site
to show that you have changed the paper?

Actually Karen - I do use some of my gamecrafter decks fairly regularly, and I even :)shhh:) riffle shuffle. They hold up OK. They haven't bent; they haven't creased.

maybe these decks were just some off batch?
That's good to know.

Yeah, once we've got it figured out we'll post news about it, and update the descriptions on all the pages that talk about cards and card stock. I'll also be sure to post to this forum because it sounds like there are a few tarotists that would like to be alerted.

I'm sorry but I'm just going to be direct about the quality of the cards. I only buy from Game Crafter when I really want the deck and I don't have a choice. I just got my Oracle of Oz and as far as I can tell, it's the same card stock as I'm used to from Game Crafter, which I don't like. I can't riffle shuffle, the cards will bend. I just hand over hand shuffle. There's no finish or coating, or if there is, it's minimal. It doesn't even compare to a Bicycle deck, not that I want a highly plasticized card, but to me it would be preferable. I'd rather have better card stock than any other improvement Game Crafter could possibly make.

Game Crafter, not sure if you noticed my comments at post #43?
I had a question too:

... Your Shipping link doesn't tell me anything! Only:
international / Gamers Remorse for Review / This order will not be shipped to you. It will be shipped to Gamer's Remorse review service. Only choose this option if you want to get the games in this order reviewed.

We don't currently send out emails about new features, instead we publish news to our Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr feeds. That said, we are working on a new newsletter feature so people can be notified via email about such things.

Yes - and I don't subscribe to any of those things .... :(

So - how then will the deck be packaged? Shrink Wrapped?
