It's sooooo 'un-romantic'...but...one of the air fresher companies (I think Glade) makes a terrific little unit, about $12 that has the equivalent of a rice paper 'votive' that fits on a wood-like base. The 'candle' part looks like a pyramid...and it flickers just like a candle...the sleeve/votive is scented...you can buy replacements (I just spray mine with essential oils...yummy!) and it'll turn itself off in 4 hrs if it's left on!

Wow! You have such a lovely space Ashtaroot, so cozy! With all that wood and antique stuff going from furnitures to well everything, it's pretty. I envy you ;). My place is really small and I still have my Ikea furnitures ;).
