Tarot of the Ancient Celts: The Mage

Ok, this is it - this is what I have worked out as what a final card would look like. I would like opinions before I go any further (so far it has been a LOT of work!!! - like, 2 1/2 years in the making so far!) So, fire away!

I also included my idea for the card backs.

Well, so far so good...

However, I'm thinking that the border is a wee bit much - that perhaps I should do something a lot lighter, with more image in the card & less border. I will do that, I think, & submit to Schiffer with an alternative. It won't take long, it's a simple variant on what I already did for the backs.

Here's everything I have thus far in drawn form, I think I like the way the sky background looks rather better than that heavy border. I sent some to Dinah Roseberry at Schiffer's, saying that it's an alternative.
