Interesting!

I wanted to be immersed in purely science-y things, and tarot did not fit.
...

Science totally fits with tarot :) ... The probability space of all events, quantum mechanics, the laws of synchronicity all explains how energy and vibrations are the base of all things.. specially with quantum mechanics.. the idea of disconnected particles moving close or very far and still knowing the state of each other, is all the base of how tarot could work.. Also its worth having a look at some of Masaru Emoto's experiments, that how thoughts and vibrations even changes the formations of crystals when freezing water... We are surrounded by vibrations of different energies and basically its how tarot works... :) xx

I wonder how the poll would look if the question was...."Would you continue to read tarot if it made you look like you've had loads of plastic surgery??" :bugeyed:

I might have to change my answer then, to cut it down to half!

LOL! I'll tell you....

So I'm home at my mom and dad's house on vacation trying to enjoy my down time when my mother tries to feed me some BS that divining ages us. :joke: I know she just wants me to put the cards down for awhile but I couldn't help it as my dad kept asking me questions! Well, it pissed me off kinda but the truth is, I can't help but wonder if we are receiving knowledge from the cards that it would normally take others normal amounts of time to receive. Are we speeding up the aging process by reading tarot or doing any other divination?

 well, if we were speeding up the age process, then my own mother would be about 200 + years old by now. She's 87. She looks like she's in her 70s. She is quite good (besides being deaf) over all--still cooks for herself, cleans her own home (1800 square feet) - which includes emptying her 4 china closets (not all are huge mind you, but still!) and washing all that china and crystal, and the closets before putting everything back in at least 2 or 3x a year! She does ALL the cleaning in her home--including windows inside and out! Her house is always clean--nearly SPOTLESS clean! (hell, even MINE isn't that clean) She walks her dog 3 to 4x a day--at least 1 mile each time--sometimes more.

So, going by my mother, I'd say divining does the opposite. She acts more like she is in her 60s then 87, except for the fact that she slightly forgetful (and she drives me nuts) :D

btw, I voted that I'd continue on as normal. :)

I just saw this post RW!!! How did she become disabled?

Something to do with her back and failure to listen to whatever doctor she initially went to. I think it stemmed from a car accident she was in when we were around 20 years old. She didn't allow herself time to heal and then proceeded to have jobs that did more damage over the years. The last time I saw her, she looked ... well she didn't look young, and in under five minutes told me about the 5 surgeries she'd had on her back and how now she couldn't work at all and...

...and she was still trying to dress like it was 1980.

Well. I chose continue reading the same. We're aging anyway, may as well do what we love :)

Just realised that I commented but forgot to choose an option.. I would continue.. I am 30 years old and already do all the things that would probably put me on the fast track like extreme sports, smoking etc etc..although thanks to my mothers genes still look like I am in my mid 20s.. I am sure all will catch up with me soon though :D

I finally read through the whole thread and had to laugh at many of the posts. but this one below is my fave.
Nice and fun pic TB! I hope you are right about alcohol being a preservative. I pretty much bathe in Cabernet. ;)
 Yeah, I pretty much 'bathe' in amaretto. :D And, if it'll keep me young, I'll bathe in it more!

 I'd change MY answer to giving it up altogether!
