Hi - thanks for the Turkish Van suggestion - great links! You know Siberians are also supposed to like water, but ever since Lotte fell in the bath (no-one in it at the time, I had just run the water) she has been terrified of it. You are gathering that Lotte is a cat who will always make a drama out of a crisis It took me a good while to dry her off and calm her down - now she slinks around the bathroom very cautiously.
Card size? This is perpetually difficult Hedera. If you look through this thread you will find that most people are asking for these cards to be quite big. Now, personally, like you, I think really over-sized cards are just too hard to handle, but on the other hand, the bigger the image, the more detail you will be able to see, and many people prefer this. I think the size and shape we've decided on is probably the best solution and one that will please most people - I hope. But yes, it is a bit bigger than ToP, but it's also a little different in shape, rather longer and thinner. We just wanted that Baroque elegance of shape. I think it will still be small enough to handle - but maybe only just. But then, I manage with my Victoria Regina, and they are pretty big cards.
Paper and finish is also an on-going concern. We don't want it to be plastic-feeling but we do want a bit of a higher finish than on Prague. Very hard to get it right. Doing samples now to test different options.
